Large Asymmetrical Boards - Oxidized Oak
Large Asymmetrical Boards - Oxidized Oak
This large board is perfect for serving anything from bread, cheese and fruit, to a large format seabass entrée. An organic handle complements a polygonal body for a surprising, playful effect. Super luxe, this blackest of black color is achieved by oxidizing: a chemical reaction that happens when ferrous oxide is placed in contact with wood and its tannins. As a serving board, this piece elevates any dinner or party, yet is still thick and sturdy for cutting. I recommend using one side to cut and then flipping the board to serve. Hang by the handle for storage and display.
Made from reclaimed antique oak sourced from BIG Reuse NYC.
Board measures 19 inches by 9 inches at widest and are 3/4" thick.
*allergy note: finished with walnut oil.
