Cherry Serving Board with Handle

129.00

These boards are made from a piece of salvaged cherry from the Catskills, via Sullivan, Maine. Steeped in history, this large piece of wood came into my hands through a family of boat builders/dwellers, who had kept it through many years of traveling by land and sea.

The serving boards themselves boast that quintessential cherry color, with faint blue streaks of spalting in some areas. Thick and sturdy for cutting, I recommend using one side to cut and then flipping the board to serve. Hang by the handle for storage and even display, as this grain pattern is better than a work of art.*

One of the available boards features the light colored sapwood on a bit of the handle and left side. Please select "sapwood" to purchase this board, or "heartwood" for the others.

Boards measure 10 1/2 inches, and are 13 inches at the handle.

*allergy note: finished with walnut oil.
